Do I need a 4×4 car?

Yes, it is advisable you bring a 4×4 to get around the area. You need to bring your own fuel, but Il Polei has a fuel station but is not always reliable.


Do you have an age limit?

All ages are welcome! Please note there is a lot of wildlife around so make sure to keep your little ones close.


Do I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes, please bring all your own food and drinks. Cooking equipment such as sharp knives, chopping board, cooking items, pots, pans, etc. are provided in our kitchen for you to use, as are eating items like cutlery and crockery. Please note, there is no chef and you are expected to keep the area clean and tidy.

Small items such as salt, pepper and some spices are available at the kitchen for you to use.

There is a fridge, a freezer, two gas tables + a charcoal oven.

You also need to bring a gas bottle and charcoal - both can be bought in Il Polei if needed.

Drinking water is provided, but drinks like teabags, coffee, beers, wine and other spirits can be brought with you. Drinks can be stored in our fridge. Ice is provided at the camp but please remember to refill the ice trays!

Extras

Firewood: Ksh1,500 per day

Water (1000L): Ksh2,000 per day

Ranger: Ksh2,000 per day

Includes: accommodation & bedding, Starlink Wi-Fi, drinking water, crockery & cutlery

Excludes: ingredients/meals, game drives & walking (available at an extra cost), drinks or ice


What kind of staff is there?

At the camp is a night watchman/askari, a camp manager to assist with questions and we have armed rangers who can be hired at an extra cost to do walking safaris.
